NAMI will host a Family to Family class in Dalton beginning in August. This free 12-session course will be offered on Sunday for family, partners, friends and significant others of adults living with mental illness. The course is designed to help adult family members understand and support their loved one living with mental illness, while maintaining their own well-being. (new) UGA extension – Cobb County
The Healthy Relationship and Marriage Education Training (HRMET) is designed to meet the safety, permanency, and well-being needs of vulnerable children in the child welfare system by increasing access to and implementation of relationship and marriage education. The 1-day training, ideal for all professionals who work with youth and adults, will be held in Marietta on August 27th. Participants will receive tools and learn strategies to empower individuals with skills that can strengthen couple and family relationships. Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta
The Neighborhood Summit, held on Sept. 26th, provides opportunities for nonprofits, civic organizations and community partners to meet, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration. Participants attend workshops, enjoy exhibits, and network with community leaders. A Welding Class will be offered at the Bartow County College and Career Academy this fall

Bartow Collaborative serves as a communication hub for community partners such as
nonprofits, social service agencies, faith based organizations, local, state and federal
entities, businesses, support groups, and local programs and projects which support issues
pertaining to children and families in our community. Agencies and individuals may
submit announcements or events to be included in weekly eblast or social media
avenues. Content may be edited as needed. Programs sponsored, hosted or facilitated by
Bartow Collaborative will be specifically noted.
