Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta

The Neighborhood Summit, held on Sept. 26th, provides opportunities for nonprofits, civic organizations and community partners to meet, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration. Participants attend workshops, enjoy exhibits, and network with community leaders. Early Bird Registration by or before August 31, 2015, General Admission is $20.00/person*, Students and Seniors (55+) is $15.00/person*, and Groups (5 or more individuals) is $10.00/person. Empower & Lead: Family, Schools & Community Engagement Conference will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015  at Georgia Highlands Campus in Cartersville from 9am-3pm. This conference will involve all families from Pre-K up to high school in the county of Bartow. If your organization would like to present, share information, or sponsor please contact Annabel Rodriguez-Romero at 770-387-4732 or emailarodriguez@cartersville.k12.ga.us.

 

Bartow Hispanic Center will be having two fundraising events:

1) Soccer Tournament at Legends Sports Complex (next to Cracker Barrel)  on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th at 9am

2) Latin Health and Resource Fair at Carterville Civic Center (next to Bartow Public Library) on Sunday, September 20 from 10am-4pm.

Highland Rivers is opening THE ROC CLUBHOUSE

THE ROC Clubhouse, here, in Cartersville.  Our only requirement is that the referral be an adolescent with a mental health diagnosis, be free from recent suicide ideation or attempts, and must be stable in the community for at least 60 days.  At this point, we are accepting applications and conducting assessments on Thursdays after 2pm. See attached referral form.
