Darkness to Light class
April 13, 2016, 6:00pm-8:00pm

Darkness to Light (www.D2L.org) is a preventative program committed to protecting children through empowering adults to prevent child sexual abuse.  1 in 10 children will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday.  This is a horrifying statistic that our community needs to be more aware of, learn how to recognize the signs of possible abuse, and to prevent it before it starts. Sexual abuse can happen to anyone, friends, family even a child you know and love.
The goal is to have at least 5% of our population trained in this prevention based program to stop sexual abuse from occurring and having the joy of childhood robbed from a child.  The class is being taught by employees of Advocates for Children that are trained Darkness 2 Light facilitators. Anyone can take the class, cost is $10.00 to cover the cost of the booklet. For more information or to register for the class, contact Jennifer Wiggins Matthews, Jennifer@AdvChild.org770.387.1143 or Amanda Tant,Amanda@AdvoChild.org678.605.9023.   Free childcare, newborn-5, will be provided by the church with advance registration.
