Blood Assurance Our community is experiencing shortages of both O Positive and O Negative blood types. Currently, there is a two day supply of inventory. O negative is the universal blood type and can be used by anyone in a trauma situation. O positive is the most common blood type and has a high usage. Your one donation can save three lives. To be eligible to donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with parental consent), weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good health. The process usually takes about 30 minutes and includes a complimentary snack. The Cartersville Center is located at 921 B Joe Frank Harris Parkway SE next to the Goodwill. Social Service Providers must have an Associate License in the state of Georgia. (LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT); prefer bi-lingual and must have at least 6 months working with Child and Adolescence.
